Excellent open bistro Cafe. Arancini balls were the best Ive had. The mains were excellent and a fine selection of Italian pastries for afters or maybe just to accompany a lazy afternoon coffee.

Have been coming to this Cafe for almost two years for a coffee, so a review was long overdue. The coffee is great, the food is good (but not spicy enough for me), but the best part is the welcoming staff and owners. They make you feel so welcome that you would want to return again and again. :) Also, it opens pretty early in the morning, so that's a plus for anybody looking for a caffeine dose to get up and running

OMG, I'm so late to the party! I just tried this spot in Darlinghurst, and I'm feeling like I've been living under a rock! This iconic spot has been around since 1980, and I've been walking past it forever, mesmerised by the vibes. Finally, curiosity got the best of me, and I'm so glad I stopped by! The menu is MASSIVE, and we went all out with cocktails, perfect for unwinding after a crazy day at work . My friend had never had a spicy margarita before (South American, hello? ), so I got to introduce her to a whole new world ! We pigged out on the pasta, calamari, and pizza (yes, we smashed them all, everything was delicious ). Super friendly service, too! Plus, it's a 5-minute walk from Kings Cross station, and no booking's needed. If you're a local or just visiting, add @tropicana_caffe to your list, asap. ~ Spicy Marg ~ Tommy's Marg ~ Calamari Fritti ~ AGLIO E OLIO ~ PASTA CON GAMBERI ~ MARGHERITA PIZZA

The food has improved a lot since the renovations. It has always been good however these days the food portions are large, quality fresh and pricing more reasonable than most cafes. Coffee is always excellent.

I bought caramel almond lattes and vanilla iced lattes and they were great. The caramel was my absolute favourite, I think one of the best I have had! The size was also perfect. All the staff there are super friendly and smiley. They made the café very welcoming I’m sad that I was only there on holiday as I’d make it my regular coffee spot
